The concept of my recent work is form and grows from my curiosity about the relationship between one object to another. In my work I aim to explore the joyful, interesting and mysterious relationship between how one object fits unexpectedly into another and becomes a whole new composition that has simple component but complex configuration.

By altering, arranging, and assembling wheel thrown porcelain forms and firing in high temperature reduction atmosphere kiln, I was able to create smooth simplified surface that contains only slight hints of the construction process. The complex abstracted vessel form has a strong influence from delightful toy-like object, along with other materials such as foam, wood and rubber which are allowing me to play with the possibilities in line, form, and shape. As a result of composition that appears to be simple but possess a complex method of construction and meaning.

It is my intention that by using my work, I am able to trigger viewer to look closer and rediscover the ordinary, yet unfamiliar relationships that are within all objects as well as all human being. Through sensation, communication, investigation and exploration, both objects and Human are able to obtain appropriate space and attention. I hope my work can provide this perception of the relationship, but more importantly is to enrich this relationship and establish a sense of place as well as the idea of we are all part of something, something bigger.
